Project Engineer
topDescription: This position leads engineering activities, plan and schedule design, and administrative activity on product development projects in a cross-functional environment. Areas of accountability include: project definition and specification, product assembly and part designs, creating drawings and CAD models for simulation, prototyping, and tooling. Additional areas of accountability include: implementing corrective actions based on simulation and test results, and implementing product design changes and new product releases
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Demonstrates success in leading engineering, design, and administrative activity on projects - accomplishing product performance, product and project cost, and time to market goals
- Develop and improve new or existing products
- Leads problem identification, definition, analysis, solution generation, and solution implementation
- Review test reports and take appropriate actions
- Works well leading teams - effectively planning and prioritizing work, proactively identifying and addressing problems and managing project work
- Actively identifies opportunities, develops alternatives, and recommends improvements to business processes
- Effectively utilizes internal and external resources
- Schedule and lead brainstorm sessions, design reviews, DFMA, FMEA and management reviews
- Assures targets set forth on projects are met - specifications, quality, cost, and timing
- Effectively communicates progress within projects
Experience Requirements
- Four year college degree - BS, BA, etc. in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical program
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in product development
- Minimum 3-5 years of CAD modeling experience with Unigraphics (or Catia V5).
- Continues to expand technical and management abilities through training and/or continuing formal education
- Drive for results - passion for innovation and customer obsession
- Strong mechanical aptitude and creative mindset
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with structured product development tools and methods (QFD, AHP, Pugh, DFMA, FMEA, Modularization, VA, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge or skills area related to product part and assembly design for appliances (materials, injection molding, tool design, sound, manufacturing processes, FEA, etc.)

Project Manager
topDescription: *This position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be required to complete training for this position in Bloomington, IL. Travel and temporary living costs during the training period will be provided by the Company.* The Project Manager leads a project by driving inter-departmental activities from Project Kick-Off through Product Launch and follows up after Launch for a specified period of time. This individual drives completion of the project on time and on target within budget constraints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of large and small projects through cross-functional teams - including timelines, costs, quality, and budget
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Manage and gain cooperation cross-functionally with all departments resulting in achievement of project goals through adherence to IPDP process
- Follow-up project through post launch for key learnings and completion of punch list items
- Monitor project at all levels and report to appropriate levels of management
- Take corrective action as necessary to keep project on track and escalate issues as necessary
- Travel abroad may be required
Experience Requirements
- BS degree in business or technical field preferred
- 5 years experience with medium to large size durable goods company
- Able to manage multiple tasks and multiple projects simultaneously
- 3 years previous project management experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-organizationally to gain cooperation and efforts needed to deliver project on time and on cost targets

Senior Certification Engineer
topDescription: *The successful candidate will be required to complete training for this position in Bloomington, IL. Travel and temporary living costs during the training period will be provided by the Company.* This individual will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining safety certification of Electrolux appliances for U.S., Canadian, and European markets. The Senior Certification Engineer reviews production units to ensure they are the same as samples submitted for certification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Review construction of Electrolux appliances to ensure compliance with applicable UL or ETL safety standards
- Develop test programs to verify construction complies with safety requirements
- Write complete descriptions and take photographs of products for submittal to safety agencies
- Conduct grand openings of new products and verify product has been produced the same as what is submitted to the safety agency
- Review engineering product change requests to ensure change being proposed does not impact certification
- Conduct FMEA on new products for Electrolux
- Help maintain lab's UL/ETL certification for conducting In-house testing
- Submit to to appropriate safety agency(s) product changes, such as cost reductions or product improvements, which impact the certification of the appliance
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a two-year technical degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent is required
- Experience with certification agencies and testing, plus a background with motor-operated appliances
- Be able to interpret safety standards
- Must be computer literate enough to prepare test reports and descriptions of cleaners plus transfer data to test agencies
Electronics Engineer
topDescription: *The successful candidate will be required to complete training for this position in Bloomington, IL. Travel and temporary living costs during the training period will be provided by the Company.* As a member of cross-functional project teams, the Electronics Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design and development of new products and has the primary responsibility for timing, cost, quality, and performance of electronic assemblies. Additional responsibilities include quality improvements of existing electronic assemblies, component standardization and exploring new technologies and solutions for future products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Specification, design, simulation, prototyping, testing and documentation of electronic assemblies such as power supplies, battery chargers, motor controls, displays, and other control circuits used in our products
- Specify, evaluate, and standardize electrical and electronic components used in motor-operated household appliances
- Provide support to manufacturing facilities and participate in cost reduction programs
- Specify testing needed to approve electronic assemblies and electrical components
- Ensure the electrical components and assemblies comply with applicable regulatory requirements
Experience Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or electronic engineering
- 5 years of relevant design experience from the consumer products or automotive industriy or industrial electronics and detailed knowledge of the European EMC, RoHS and WEEE Directives
- Ability to design electronic assemblies that meets UL or ETL and CE safety regulations
- Ability to use firmware and software development tools
- Experience with Electronic circuit simulation and documentation tools
- Ability to use PCB layout and documentation tools
- Ability to quickly build, debug, and modify hardware prototypes
- Skill at analyzing the root cause of assembly and component failures
- Ability to make cost estimates and recommend best technology based on cost and volume
- Experience with electronic component specification and characterization
